Professor, Structural Engineering, New Mexico State University

Topic: Ultra-High Performance Concrete Research at NMSU

Dr. Craig Newtson is a Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at NMSU. He received his BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming and his PhD from the University of Washington. Before coming to NMSU, he served on the faculty at the University of Hawaii from 1997 to 2001. He joined the NMSU faculty in 2001. He is a Past-President of the New Mexico Chapter of ASCE and served as a Region 6 Governor from 2009-2012. In 2007, Dr. Newtson initiated a research program on ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) that has continued for more than 10 years.
