Topic: Eliminating Architectural Barriers: Engineer’s Edition

Speaker Bio:

Born in Mexico but raised in the Texas Panhandle, I returned to my native country to study architecture at Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez. After graduation, I worked for some architectural firms for 16 years. The last ten years were with a firm that helped me with what would ultimately become my career outside of architectural design. It was there where I became a Registered Accessibility Specialist, a license that I have held for 14 years. Once the pandemic hit our region and work decreased, I was forced to go out and start my own business. Since 2019 I have dedicated my entire work life to Brunjes Accessibility Consulting, working exclusively on accessibility related design consulting. This has given me the opportunity to work on many projects of all sizes, not only in El Paso but throughout the United States.
