W. Shane Walker, Ph.D., P.E.
Associate Professor, Civil Engineering
The University of Texas at El Paso
UTEP – Dr. Walker’s research focuses on water and wastewater treatment technologies, especially membrane separations (e.g., reverse osmosis and electrodialysis) for high-recovery inland brackish desalination. His research interests include increasing water recovery, decreasing energy consumption, and recovering minerals/products from waste streams. Dr. Walker is also passionate about low-cost water treatment solutions for developing countries/communities.
