For any questions\, click here.\n \nGuest Speaker\nJeff Weidner\, PhD\n          \n                                                                                                                                    \nTopic: The Role of Civil Engineers in the Aftermath of Infrastructure Failures\n \nSpeaker Bio:\nJeffrey Weidner is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at El Paso. He moved to El Paso from Philadelphia\, Pennsylvania in July 2016. Before coming to Texas\, Jeff spent four years as the Practice Leader for Research at Intelligent Infrastructure Systems\, a company focused on solving infrastructure engineering challenges through the application of technology solutions. He earned his Doctorate in Civil Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia in 2012. There he focused on multiple model approaches to model experiment correlation for bridge testing in particular. He earned his Masters Degree in Structural Engineering from Lehigh University where his research focused on seismic resilient infrastructure design. Dr. Weidner started his career in engineering at Drexel University\, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelors Degree in Architectural Engineering.
